Day 1-Berlin- Fly by scheduled flight and transfer to your Berlin hotel for a two night stay.
Day 2 Berlin-Take a tour of the city including stops at the cathedral, Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie. Return in the afternoon to your hotel where your time is your own through the evening.
Day 3 Berlin, Potsdam & Magdeburg-Take a coach to Potsdam where you will visit
the18th century Sanssouci Palace, a superb example of German rococo architecture. It was built by Prussian King Frederick the Great. After lunch on your own, transfer to Magdeburg to embark your ship. Free time this afternoon to visit Magdeburg and it's magnificent cathedral. Depart later in the evening to Berlin.
Day 4 Dessau-Arrive around lunch and take a drive to Wörlitz Park. The was the first park with English-style gardens in Germany. Contained inside the park is the English styled Wörlitz Castle.
Day 5 Wittenberg & Torgau-Wittenberg is the birthplace of the Reformation. Here you can follow in the footsteps of Martin Luther and take a tour of his house and the church of St.Mariens where he preached. Continue your cruise to Torgau with its lovely Renaissance houses. In the evening enjoy a walk to the market square.
Day 6 Meissen-Still cruising the river Elbe before arriving in Meissen and a tour of the old porcelain factory of Meissenware
Day 7 Dresden-Take a tour of the city nicknamed 'Florence on the Elbe.' You will see fabulous baroque architecture and take a visit to the famous Residence Castle.
Day 8 Saxon Switzerland & Decin-Morning cruising before docking at Bad Schandau.
Then ride through Saxon Switzerland before arriving at a natural bridge called the Bastei where a guided walk will be taken.
Day 9 Litomerice-Cruise through scenic Porta Bohemia on the river Elbe. A tasting of Bohemian wines ends the day's tour!
Day 10 Melnik & Prague-Wake up in Melnik and disembark after breakfast before taking a coach to Prague. There is a guided tour through the old town. Later you will continue to your hotel for check-in and a two night stay.
Day 11 Prague-A full day to explore this beautiful city & its Jewish heritage
Day 12 Prague-Check out of your hotel and return to London by scheduled flight.
